Saudi Arabian Food

Traditional Arabian foods are dates, wheat, rice, lamb, potatoes and yogurt. 

Staple Foods

Bread: There are numerous varieties of bread in Saudi Arabia including a flat bread called fatir, arikah, and a spiced bread called hawayij. 
Hummus: A dip made up of mashed chickpeas, tahini, garlic, and lemon.
Rice: Many different types of rice exist in Saudi Arabia. It can also be a side dish or a main dish.
Tabbouleh: A salad basically made up of parsley, bulgur, tomatoes, garlic, and lemon.

The most common types of beverages and dishes are Kabsa, Quran, Mtaziz, Motabbag, Masoob, Mandi, Arikah, Assidah, and Haneedh and lots more. Most of Saudi Arabia's dishes include healthy nutritional benefits and are also rich in calories. The women are usually responsible for cooking meals in their homes. The ingredients are depended on the resources of the local environment.
